Born in Kingston, Jamaica; Casino Costa came to Canada and discovered Hip Hop soon after as a child in the early 90’s. It was this raw, unadulterated, unfiltered yet grimey depiction of life, familiar to his own upbringing in Jamaica, over golden era production that ignited the flames of creativity within this fire breathing dragon. Costa prides himself on being a “bar baring barbarian”, an artist whose dedicated a significant portion of this artistry to the mastery of lyrical content. Inspired by the great orators of the past such as Martin Luther King Jr., however, this man is not a man of dreams, Alexander “Casino Costa” DaCosta is a man of action. 
 When listening to Casino Costa music, you will experience a type of gritty roughness and self awareness that pushes the limits of the listeners and captures the hearts of those truly passionate about content and genuine artistic integrity. This autobiographical street tale paints a picture of his past life, and the current social standing of his community. Throughout his musical career Costa has worked with countless amounts of Canadian artists, and even his personal favorite bar smith of all time, the late great Sean Price of Boot Camp Clik.
