Moving to the Phoenix area from Northern California in his early teens, i-Dee says he began to rap to keep in touch with the liberal urban culture which wasn’t as easily accessible in the still developing Copper State. Early in his career i-Dee made a name for himself by winning numerous battle rap competitions and became more of a songwriter as he gained life experiences worth writing about. i-Dee has a broad variety of songs and subject matter backed with clever rhymes and confident flow. He says art should reflect life and aims to translate all his life of it into his music.
