Chico Starr is a Southern California Native. Born in Long Beach in 1999, he grew up in San Pedro, California. Chico traveled extensively through Mexico as a child. He is Bilingual in Spanish which is reflected in his music bringing hip hop, trap, rap, reggae, reggaeton, along with flavors of the Caribbean. Chico studied music and art at San Diego State University and graduated with a BA in Studio Arts in May of 2021. Chico most often can be found in the studio creating new music. When he’s not focusing on his music passion, Chico finds peace and balance through meditating, running and hiking. Staying healthy, active and fit is a priority as is his vegan lifestyle. FUTURE 3030 is Chico’s debut album released in 2021. He produced the beats, wrote the vocals and mixed the album entirely on his own. Chico’s second album, MADRID dropped in January 2022. MADRID includes 12 diverse tracks demonstrating Chico’s breadth of styles, musical creativity, and distinctive voice. Chico offers his own signature sound on hits such as Re’d Up, and brings audience favorites in Da 1 for Me, Bailar and Noche en la Playa. His single "Up It Back" gets heavy rotation on Sirius XM, The Joint. Listeners worldwide are gravitating to the quick tempo and catchy hook.
