Although his rise to worldwide success has been shaped through life changing hardships, Brazilian born Felipe Ramos is a testament to how music can be channeled as a powerful driving force for creativity and emotion. Now recognized as one of the pioneers of the Brazilian EDM sound, FTampa has gone on to curate an impressive back-catalogue of original and remixed material – with star studded remixes for Britney Spears and more recently P!nk in his repertoire. Claiming the revered accolade as the first Brazilian to play the main stage of Tomorrowland in 2016 marked a major shift in the emerging talent’s career. His three singles in 2017, ‘Glowing’, ‘Love Is All We Need’ and ‘Light me Up’ were widely received in the EDM community boasting over 40 million streams on Spotify since their releases. In 2018 FTampa delivered his ‘Cali Vibes’ EP. The extended play’s main cut ‘Who We Are’ was a major addition to his impressive discography and has now over 25M Spotify streams, surpassing all expectations of his previous releases. His tracks, ‘Knee Deep’, ‘Shahar,’ ‘EDM Sux’ and ‘EDM Rox’ followed closely. FTampa’s impressive accolades speak for themselves and as one of EDM’s mainstays and there is a lot of releases to come to cement his position as one of the scenes avant-gardist producers and DJs.
