On 6 December 1987 the Bulgarian Women's Choir celebrated its European premier concert, at least on the western side of the "Iron Curtain". The legendary concert of the Bremen Church "Unser Lieben Frauen", recorded by Radio Bremen and then released by JARO Medien. The recording became in the following year, a kind of world heritage and it was the base for an international career of the choir also in America and Japan. From newsweek to big entertainment shows on television, from two Grammy nominations to hundreds of concerts, especially in Europe, the choir completed a program that could be described as sensational. Whether Stevie Wonder or Björk, they were all in the concerts of THE BULGARIAN VOICES ANGELITE. The choir produced eight CDs under its own name, as well as three recordings with Huun-Huur-Tu overtone singers and the Moscow Art Trio: "Mountain Tale", a world music symphony with 28 musicians on stage. The newest release "Heritage" shows some of the best recordings from Bulgaria and as well a few brand-new compositions by living composers. Under the leadership of the conductress Katya Barulova the choir can show the musicality better than ever. You might have heard their music in soundtracks, commercials and films , but a live performance of the choir , not amplified shows the real mystery of the choir.
