Polly Mooney is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter. Raised in Mississippi, she grew up with a passion for music, along with poetry and writing. Polly recalls being inspired at an early age from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, and Joni Mitchell. She received formal vocal training along with piano lessons, and began writing songs during her freshman year of college. At only twenty-one years old, Polly has already released a three-song EP called "Lungs" under the name Polly Watkins, and has appeared as a background vocalist on her husband, Sam Mooney's single called "Sunshine." She has received attention from numerous international indie music publications, and has worked with some of Nashville's top producers on her latest work. With a classic sound tinged with hints of pop and alternative/indie, she evokes vivid imagery and detail in her lyrics. She is excitedly looking towards the future, and has a new EP on her horizon. When she isn't singing or writing, Polly enjoys watercolor painting, reading classic novels, and traveling with her husband.
