Riddy K, real name Richard King, was born in Bakersfield, California. He grew up in low class, drug riddled neighborhoods with a single mother and 3 siblings, exposing him to harsh realities and eventually landing him in foster homes, juvenile detention centers & group homes for a large duration of his childhood. While in a group home his father died in a house fire. Mentally escaping through music he started teaching himself guitar after returning home with his mother from a group home at the age of 14. At the age of 18 he began writing, producing and performing hip hop music in the underground scene. He officially released his first solo Ep, The Kronicles of RiddyK in 2014, followed by The Dirdy - EP in 2015 and numerous singles the years after. His full length LP, I've Been released 11/11/18 and the end of 2018 also saw the birth of his independent record label/clothing brand Gutter Raised. Riddy K toured with ¡MAYDAY! of Strange Music in 2019. Working through the pandemic he released Take It to the Grave & Dear White Man in 2020 and the collaboration song This Photo with Cold Cody & ¡MAYDAY! in 2021.
