Biography

A rapper as well as a graphic artist Goldzilla has become a staple of the Metro Detroit indie rap scene for over ten years. Starting in 2004 Goldzilla formed the critically acclaimed rap duo The Anonymous with childhood friend and DJ, Some Kid. After releasing several independent EP’s in the early 2000s The Anonymous teamed up with Detroit record label Woodbridge Records to release their debut album “Why Am I Grinding My Teeth?” in 2012, which was considered a classic. 
 Shortly after Goldzilla teamed up with Detroit legend Doc Waffles. As Barter Boys they released a cult classic self titled album in 2015 that took the Detroit hip hop scene by storm. 
 Now it is 2017 and after rapping in groups Goldzilla is embarking on a solo career, flaunting his skills and verbal dexterity on his own for the first time. Over a year and a half period Goldzilla worked with Detroit super producer/ studio engineer Eddie Logix to record what would become Goldzilla’s debut solo album “Immaculate Misconception.” 
 Over Logix’s heavy drum ambient soundscapes Goldzilla shows his prowess. Attacking tracks in his verbose style, Goldzilla's topics range from everything from his African heritage to his suburban roots. taking satirical shots at society and pop culture. 
 The new album “Immaculate Misconception” released in November of 2017. Goldzilla continues to write and record more music and collaborate with more artists. Performing at more shows and festivals to take his talents worldwide.
