Dandelyin grew up in Southwestern Connecticut, just 50 minutes outside of New York City, however her sights were never set on being a singer/songwriter in the Big Apple. Instead, she found her inspiration through traveling medieval cities in Europe, dark art/poetry and 90s alternative music. Her first EP Gold-Plated was recorded at Factory Underground Studio in Norwalk, CT. The title song on the EP was inspired by the ugly side of growing in a “Stepford” kind of town, whereas the rest of the EP pays homage to loves-lost. She recorded music with rapper Xavi Suede at Sonik Garage in Okinawa, Japan. Not only does she spend her time writing and producing music, but she is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher and acquired her trainings in Japan and Indonesia. She owns an entertainment company called Okinawa Enchantments that hires out characters such as mermaids, princesses and pirates to children’s parties and events. She moonlights as Mermaid Pearl on occasion.
