Gregory David Roberts (GDR), is an author, songwriter, composer and artist. He’s best known for his best-selling novel Shantaram, which has sold over 7 million copies and was hailed “a masterpiece” by critics. It has been translated into 44 languages and is sold in over 116 countries. The novel draws on GDR’s raw experiences of life as a fugitive. A TV series based on Shantaram is currently streaming on Apple TV+, starring Charlie Hunnam as the lead. GDR released his debut album Love&Faith in 2020, which takes you on a genre hopping musical journey through pop, R&B, country, house and reggae. The album is co-produced by GDR and Dale “Dizzle” Virgo (Drake, Rhianna, Kendrick Lamar). GDR sights Nick Smith of The Black Sorrows, Grace Jones, Nile Rogers, Stevie Wonder, Renee Geyer and Bob Marley as some of his musical influences.
