Daniela Miglietta born in Taranto Mietta is an Italian singer and actress gifted with both a deep and fascinating voice. Mietta made her debut in 1988as an actress in the radio program “Nasce una Stella”. Thanks to the help of producer Claudio Mattone, her musical career began a year later, when she participated in the Sanremo Festival with the song "Sogno". She then returned to the competition with "Canzoni" in 1989 and with "Vattene Amore" in 1990, in duet with Amedeo Minghi, becoming one of the most successful Italian songs of the decade, selling more than 350,000 copies: a success replicated by Mietta, Canzoni, released that same year. The magical moment continues with Volano le Pagine in 1991 and Letmoci Respirare in 1992, recorded in London with the help of Geoff Westley and containing his first self-produced songs. After participating again in Sanremo with "Figli di Chi" in 1993, Mietta came with Cambia Pelle in 1994, oriented towards funky blues, followed a year later by Daniela è Felice, her best album in the opinion of critics, largely influenced by soul and trip-hop, and the tribute to soul music from 1998 La Mia Anima. In 1996, Mietta, had dubbed the character of Esmeralda for the Italian version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Walt Disney. In 2000 Mietta published the song Fare l'Amore, a huge radio and sales success which she presented at the Sanremo festival. Her biggest success of the last 5 years is “Milan is where I got lost”.
