With a distinctive pop soprano sound, emerging singer/songwriter Tanya Rivero’s airy tone and soaring range have been described as a little bit Lana Del Ray and a little bit Ariana Grande. Rivero grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and was introduced to myriad styles of music by her Romanian mother and Cuban father. Her curiosity for music led her to teach herself guitar and piano at an early age, and by 11 she was writing original songs and cultivating her own style. Throughout her teen years, she appeared in school musicals, performed in her local community pop choir, sang at festivals, coffee houses, showcases, and anywhere else she could to gain experience and develop her voice. In her final year of high school, she started recording and releasing original music, putting out 13 singles between 2019 and now - each one taking her artistic journey to a new level. Both bold and bashful, Rivero is an understated pop songstress with a captivating voice and a bright future.
