Biography

Chi Duly has produced for platinum selling artists, DJ'd for the world's biggest brands, and been featured multiple times in The Huffington Post. Even before The Weeknd's rave review on "Balloons of Haus", Chi Duly had a fascination with remixing bodies of work. These projects became the cornerstone of his early success. October's Very Cold was his first release in 2010. It stormed twitter, captured hearts on college campuses everywhere, and in a rare feat struck #1 on Hype Machine three times in a single month. In the years since, he's released several more critically acclaimed projects. More recently his collaboration with MICK on 2015’s “Ready To Boom” (Metro Boomin x The Notorious B.I.G.) soared to highest played show of all time on Mixcloud. Their followup in 2017 “7:18” (Jay-Z x DJ Premier) debuted on complex and caught the attention and praise of DJ Premier. While his use of the “artist x artist” format on these mixtapes may give the appearance of a traditional mashup, Chi does a fair amount of original production and instrumentation especially on his solo remix work (6ixkong, Octobers Very Cold, Balloons Of Haus). While he is known for remixes and blend mixtapes, Chi Duly sits on a mountain of originals with plans in motion for an EP.
