Biography

Jon Chua JX is a Singapore artist who made his debut into the industry back in 2012 as a founding member and guitarist for local pop quartet – The Sam Willows – who are arguably the most successful English music act in Singapore.
As part of The Sam Willows, he has worked with the best music producers around the world, including Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones), Harry Sommerdahl (Pussycat Dolls, The Wanted), Fredrik Häggstam (The Chainsmokers), Gavin Jones (Pixie Lott) and has also performed at numerous festivals and events around the globe, including the SXSW Festival in Texas, Ultra Singapore 2016, SummerSonic 2017 in Japan, We The Fest 2018 in Jakarta and HyperPlay Singapore 2018 just to name a few. The Sam Willows have obtained multiple GOLD and PLATINUM certifications for their previous 2 albums, and in 2019, they were even featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list, which showcases young and influential disruptors, innovators and entrepreneurs in Asia.
Apart from his duties in the band and as a solo artist, his vast experience and love for music also led to the creation of Zendyll, an all-encompassing music production house that Jon Chua JX co-founded and also currently acts as the Creative Director for. His knowledge of music and businesses surrounding it also saw him being invited to guest judge at music competitions and lecture at creative workshops.
