Miss Gudaz is a Jamaican - American artist and writer. Born in the Bronx in 1996. She was sent to live in Portland, Jamaica with her grandmother as a preteen and that’s where she discovered her passion for dancehall music. In 2015 she recorded for popular dancehall labels such as “Jones Ave” and “Kwashawna records.” That same year she began her career as a radio personality, interviewing then rising star “Gully Bop” on her first radio show called “Dancehall Review.” In the fall she attended Kingsborough Community College where she took courses in Journalism and radio studio operations to perfect her craft. In 2018 she nearly lost her life after being diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease - Guillian Barre Syndrome. The condition led to her being paralyzed from the neck down and she was on life support twice. She fought for her life and with months of rehabilitation was finally able to walk and breathe on her own. She’s now decided to chase her dreams again because she believes that her life was spared for a reason. Miss Gudaz is determined to leave her mark in the industry.
