Evan Isaac (Evan Isaac Black) is a singer, songwriter, musician and artist based in New York City. These are songs about limerence, love, shame, chaos, peace and loneliness Evan Isaac was born in Pittsburgh, PA, an only child. He grew up in a small town near Pittsburgh. He has been writing songs and playing in bands for many years starting as a teen in Pittsburgh where he garnered considerable local acclaim with his band Crossing Boundaries. He then attended USC’s Music school for undergrad and lived in LA for 5 years. There, he formed a band with Rowdy Kanerek, Sidharth Gupta and Sean Alexander called GoodKids. After a few years of making records and playing shows in LA Evan relocated to Pittsburgh for a few years where he started to develop a fresh, new alt-pop sound. After the pandemic he relocated to New York City, where his late father is from, to launch a new phase in life. He currently plays shows and records around the city and elsewhere. Evan also writes and records with other artists including Buddha Mei, K.C. Raniero, and Green Park. He is married to the visual artist Lacey Black since 2023. Evan, Rowdy and Sid have recently begun finishing the long awaited GoodKids debut album that was originally recorded in LA in 2016. Evan draws from many genres of music including classic rock, R&B, alternative rock, hip-hop, power pop, psychedelic and great music from around the world.
