Ronald Max Verasammy (AKA VMax) was born in Florida, but has spent all but the first two months of his life living in the island nation of Trinidad. At age 6, his cousin hooked him on to the music of Tupac Shakur, which has fascinated him ever since. Following Tupack he studied the great's Nas, Biggie, Eminem, and Jay Z. At age 15, he started writing his own lyrics and making a name for himself as the illest lyricist at St. Mary’s College in Trinidad. Following school, life changed completely for VMax as he began to experience the bittersweet true lifestyle of Trinidad, from glory to death to sickness to murder to struggle to success. His music highlights his experiences, and gives a real picture of life in Trinidad
