Biography

Singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist Trina Hamlin was born in the frigid city of Minneapolis, MN. She first began her study of music on the piano when she was a small child. By first grade she was entering local talent contests, winning often. In her teens she continued to perform, gaining experience and polishing her skills. After high school was over, she went on to earn a degree in Professional Music from Boston's Berklee College of Music. By this point in her life, she was often working with bands as a background singer and lending her voice to commercials. Not long after graduating from college, Hamlin moved to New York City, determined to make it with her musical career. She became a member of two bands, Blue Leaves and The Suits Regarded as one of the best harmonica players around, Trina Hamlin presents a driving, sensuous rhythm in her performance reawakening audiences to the art of the instrument. She is a much sought after harmonica player, singer and percussionist, accompanying numerous nationally recognized singer/songwriters in the studio and live on stage. As a solo singer/songwriter, Trina offers an intelligent and refreshing musical experience in the current climate of "sounds like" artists. She tours throughout the US and Europe. Trina was chosen as one of the "most wanted new artists" at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and has performed to a sold out crowd at the Newport Folk Festival www.trinahamlin.com - Sourced from Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
