Biography

Santiago Mercado, artistically known as Sael, is a singer, songwriter and producer from Argentina. From an early age Sael was musically inclined, learning how to play a variety of instruments. After discovering YouTube, he began to watch music production tutorials, focusing on beat making. Between 2018 and 2019, Sael releases music through digital platforms, sparking up the interest of several artists and record labels, leading to the creation of: “La Trampa” - Kevin Roldán “Fanático” – Maxiolly ft. Feid “Perreito” – Mariah, which turned gold and had a remix with Arcangel and Darell. Sael’s work eventually reaches producer Sky Rompiendo, who signs him to his record label Black Koi Entertainment. In 2020 Sael releases his first single under Black Koi, “Anoche,” following with “Hace Rato” and “Pase Lo Que Pase Remix” along Manuel Turizo, Feid and Andy Rivera. In 2021, Sael releases "Verificada," becoming his first radio single in his native Argentina, leading him to reach more than one million listeners on Spotify and video rotation on MTV. In May of that year, Sael becomes Artista Radar of the month for Spotify South Cone. On Sep. 16th Sael releases “Me Enseñaste Remix” along Duki, reaching top 40 position in Spotify’s Top 50: Argentina. The music video debuted at #11 worldwide on YouTube as well as trending top 10 in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Peru. Sael continues to release music with the support of his label, representing a new Reggaeton wave from Argentina.
