Dub Vallila is a Finnish reggae band founded in Helsinki’s Vallila district in 2015. The band is led by trombonist, composer, and producer Jussi Vuorinen, who has composed and produced all of their releases. Primarily performing instrumental and dub-style reggae, the band is made up of musicians with diverse backgrounds in reggae, ska, jazz, and other rhythm-based music genres. Dub Vallila’s sound draws influences not only from reggae but also from jazz, world music, classical, and film music. Over the years, the band has released several singles, and their full-length album Katakom Beat was released in 2022. Dub Vallila’s music has been featured in advertisements and film soundtracks. In the summer of 2023, Dub Vallila released the single ”Say” in collaboration with renowned soul and blues singer Emilia Sisco. This partnership has led to performances at various clubs and festivals across Finland. The band is also well-known for their energetic and hypnotic live shows.
