Amahla’s voice moves through R&B, Jazz, Pop, Folk, Hip Hop, Soul and Dance music effortlessly. A musical range that echoes the rise of brilliant solo female vocalists of the past. Raised in a Caribbean household in East London, Amahla started her career writing songs on acoustic guitar. Learning early on how to lead live bands, Amahla has become an impressive live performer. Taking inspiration from her activism and Anthropology degree, Amahla manages to balance themes of love and politics with ease. Amahla's viral single the protest ballad ‘Enough’ released in October 2023 was recorded in three languages (English, French, Spanish) and has been adopted by fans worldwide as an anthem representing racial injustice and collective grief. In 2024 Amahla will release a new EP 'Ooooh Honey!' dedicated to the power of women. Amahla will also embark on her first headline UK tour.
