Gabriela Cristy, also known as Gaby, was born on 29 December in Sungailiat, Bangka. In 2007, she successfully participated in the famous talent-search event, Indonesian Idol, which marked the beginning of her musical journey. Until today, Gaby has released several singles of her own, and has also collaborated with many of Indonesia’s finest figures in the music industry. Some of the notable works, namely, with Monita Tahalea on the song “Tak Sendiri”, with Igor Saykoji and Monita Tahalea on the song “Bukalah Hati”, and with several other homeland musicians. Pop, folk, soul and jazz are some genres that Gaby really into.
