Biography

Jamie Stevens is a man whose reputation precedes him and again the proof is there for all to hear as he comes with his strongest releases yet; a two part release series including two brand new singles and remixes for Music To Die For that should appeal to a wide range of electronic and dance music aficionados. The heart and soul of Jamie Stevens' extensive body of work is his desire to deliver an individual experience, as he takes us on an excursion into the human psyche with each of these two masterpieces. If you're after a mature electronic music release that knows how to hit the emotional core hard then you will be in for an absolute treat. On 'Transference', we are presented with a fizzing masterclass in lo-fi production aesthetic, fuzzy saturated breaks, found sounds and hypnotic synth work. The bass bellows and rumbles deep, working so well alongside the breakbeats, percussion and swirling melodies. Progressive & melodic house pioneer Luke Chable has progressive, melodic music running through his veins and joins forces with the incredible Dan Mangan for the remix, delivering euphoric club dynamite with a real yearning melancholic sound and a nod to the old skool progressive trance scene of the 90’s made famous by names like Oliver Lieb, Humate and Superstition records. This could revive the genre. It's that good!!
