Fresh off a release with Modeselektor’s new label, Seilscheibenpfeiler Schallplatten Berlin, Nautiluss is back with a bang. He plays into the label’s retro-futurist dance aesthetic on a rude breakbeat techno/hardcore tip. Licking its title form he seminal cyberpunk flick, ’Liquid Sky’ is a fittingly cyberized stripe of coiled breaks, swollen Reese bass haunted by Artificial Intel pads; ‘Reak’ twists out in a scuffed sort of early hardcore style; and ‘Inky’ brings up a mutant breakbeat house sound¶.
