Willie Concepcion known professionally as DJ Willie, is a DJ, record executive, songwriter, record producer, and radio media personality. Born in Newark, NJ from parents that immigrated from the Dominican Republic in the 1970's. DJ Willie first gained prominence as a local DJ in the Tri-State area of New York New Jersey and Connecticut. His popularity later prompted him to get his name out there more on a national level. In which then he was the 1st Latin DJ to mix, market, promote, distribute, design and gain high notoriety releasing Latin Mixtapes which at the time were years well of its time. He coined a few phrases and use them on his Mixtapes titles like; " I Love Reggaeton " also "Reggaeton Hits", back in 1999. Also he holds 2 Mixtape titles from Justo Awards which is the Mixtape award equivalent to the Grammys; one award is "Best Reggaeton Mixtape DJ" and the other award is " Best Latin Mixtape DJ".He traveled and Dj'ed alot clubs and festivals due to the success of his Mixtapes being distributed globally. He has dj'ed and rock countries like Sweden, Germany, France, London, Italy, Spain, Canada, Mexico, South America and of course USA cities and states as in Miami, Los Angeles, Texas, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Orlando just to name a few.
