Don Lo Legendary. With over 25 years experience under his belt, he has earned true OG status in the Hip-hop world. Whether behind the boards as an engineer or crafting his sound as a producer, the infamous San Francisco graffiti artist has left his mark on the game. His first release, Jed Dust “Strictly Kings and Better” impacted the culture immediately. The one and only DJ Premier tracked down one of the 1000 copies of wax that was pressed up, and cut it up on the hook of two different songs. Afu Ra’s “Defeat” and GangStarr featuring M.O.P. “1 2 & 1 2”, off of the Blade 2 soundtrack which hit #1 on the Billboard US Dance Charts. As an original member of Bay Area based Hip-hop collective Noble House, he has produced tracks for local favorite emcees Cozmo, Lroneous, Gennessee, Disney superstar Genevieve Goings, as well as platinum selling songwriter Cait La Dee. He partnered up with childhood friend DJ Zatch. 48th and O Recording Studios were born. Numerous underground classics were recorded there including “Shinen Timeless”, “48th and O”, “The Years Of My Life Vol 1 “America Undercover”, “Cue’s Hip-hop Shop Vol. 1”and many many more. He is currently teamed up with Grammy nominated and platinum selling songwriter/producer Gennessee forming the super group 5Star.
