Eugene IV, born and raised in southwest Atlanta, is a multi-talented vocalist, musician, songwriter, and award-winning actor. While becoming known as the go-to saxophonist for innumerable studio sessions for recording artists such as Anthony David, Algebra Blessett, & Khari Cabral, he’s perfectly at home with a stage & a crowd. He is a longstanding member of the funk/soul band Gurufish, opening for the likes of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Boyz II Men, KC & the Sunshine Brand, Brand New Heavies, & Mother’s Finest. Eugene IV had the honor of playing the roles of composer, producer, and performer for “Beautiful Blackbird: Original Alliance Theatre Cast Recording,” the cast recording of a world premiere by the Tony Award winning Alliance Theatre.
