Canadian Musician/Singer/Producer "Free Real Estate" (Christopher Petterson), made his debut in music alongside his psychedelic reggae rock band Arcaydium, in which he handled Vocals, Guitars and keyboards. During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, Chris began writing a variety of songs that featured electronic elements and multi-track layering, and also covered a variety of different genres. During this time, he also began to experiment with music production. "Free Real Estate" was conceived as an outlet to release some of these musical experiments. The first release from these experiments, "BOP!" was released in February 2021. Affter co-writing and providing vocals on the song "Last Night" from Wiser Times 2021 Album 'Cornfield', the pair collaborated again on the single "Breakdown" released in April 2021. "Sleeping Mercury", a collaboration with Squeeze Mason arrived in August 2021, with a music video and live appearances that followed in October. Chris co-wrote the lyrics as well as adding lead vocals and guitars. Free Real Estate is currently writing and recording new music, with several new collaborations with local artists in the works. During summer 2021, Chris formed a new band, Proximity to Temptation alongside bassist Kane Lee ( Mars on Water ) and drummer Daniel Benabou ( Arcaydium, Mars on Water ) The band's Debut single released in February 2023
