Lux Terminus was formed by keyboard player Vikram Shankar (Silent Skies, Redemption) along with his old bandmates from progressive rock band Gravity, Matthew Kerschner (drums) and Brian Craft (bass). Led by Shankar's piano playing, Lux Terminus plays a style of instrumental progressive rock informed equally by metal, jazz fusion, and cinematic music. Lux Terminus released their debut record, "The Courage to Be," on August 24, 2018. The record was produced by the band, mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima, and features special guests Anneke van Giersbergen, Timo Somers, and Raphael Weinroth-Browne.
