I am Irene Scardia, a pianist, composer, and performer. My musical journey began with a diploma in classical piano at the Conservatory of Music in Lecce, followed by studies in jazz harmony and composition, which allowed me to develop a unique and personal sound, deeply lyrical and cinematic. My artistic background is multidisciplinary: alongside music, I have also studied dance and theater, which have inspired me to create productions that blend music, dance, and theatrical performances. I have released three albums with my label Workin' Label: I Giorni del Vento (2009), Risvegli (2012), and Una stanza tutta per me (2021), the latter accompanied by a collection of piano scores. In 2023, I released the single Abbracciami, produced by Filippo Bubbico, and in 2024, a new EP “Una gioia perfetta” will be published in collaboration with a string quintet. The new album will be presented live both with the string quintet and in piano solo. Since 1998, I have been President of the Cultural Association L’Orchestrina in Lecce, through which I have promoted numerous educational activities. In 2009, I founded Workin' Label, a record label that has produced and promoted many artists in Italy and abroad. I am also the creator and artistic director of cultural festivals and events such as the Piano Piano Festival and Suoni a Sud.
