Coming from the Pacific Northwest, woodslow is naturally a quiet and reserved individual. However, his beats are extremely detailed and layered with emotion. As a child he was always surrounded with music, from family to friends, church and school. Somehow it seemed like music always followed him along and tugged at his jacket. He eventually fell in love with the art of drumming as he found creative expression in making rhythms. Although he was never formally trained in any other instrument he would eventually pick them up over time and figure things out. Moving along to multiple guitars and pianos he figured out how to put together full compositions using intuition rather than theory. He’s able to craft intimate soundscapes and blend them with addicting patterns, creating his own language in a way.
