I was born in 1981 in Athens. At the age of ten I started getting Guitar and Music Theory lessons. As a student of Western Athens Music High School I learnt to play Plucked Stringed Musical Instruments from famous teachers, like Christos Tsiamoulis and Nikos Grapsas. After Lycium, I took Turkish Classical Music lessons from Ross Daly, specialising in Lavta (lute from Constantinople). I've also studied Musicology in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing in Ethnomusicology and Social Anthropology. As a musical executor, I've collaborated with various artists in Greece (Stavros Xarhakos, Nikos Mamagakis, Nikos Xydakis, Lena Platonos, Tasos Grous, Haris Alexiou, Dimitra Galani, Glykeria, Savina Yannatou, Areti Ketime, Maria Anamaterou, Haig Yazdjian, etc.) and I've recorded my own albums in the Greek discography as a songwriter. I am a founding member of Checkmate in 2 Flats (Ματ σε 2 Υφέσεις) and Polis Ensemble; two bands with a significant presence in the Greek world music scene.
