Grisecon, a classically-trained musician who studied electronic music at Oberlin, creates eclectic electronic music with a dance focus. "I alternate between wanting to write really ambient, dreamy pieces and wanting to make music that makes people groove," he says. Living in the Bay Area, Grisecon has been a part of rave culture forever, and the cultural diversity has exposed him to many different flavors of music, all of which influence how he writes. Grisecon's music is fundamentally about conveying an energy that is colorful, vibrant, bright, and uplifting, even when exploring more melancholy or poignant themes. Ultimately the music is a journey and useful for journeys.
