Praised for her luminous and silky voice combined with great musicality and remarkable acting skills, Elisa Balbo has appeared in some of the world’s major theatres under the conduction of eminent batons, among others, Riccardo Muti. Her high vocal and stylistic versatility, allowed her to sing a vast repertoire that goes from Pergolesi's La Serva Padrona, to Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti, including Rossini (Maometto II, Moïse e Tancredi), Verdi (Otello, Falstaff), Puccini (La Bohème, Turandot) and also Verismo roles (Pagliacci, Siberia), among others. Sensitive performer of sacred and symphonic music, she sang Rossini's Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solennelle in Pesaro and Rome respectively, Mozart Requiem in Tokyo and Cura's Ecce Homo at Festival Enescu in Bucharest and at Ljubjana Festival. She sang in venues such as Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Arena di Verona, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Ravenna Festival, Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Bunka Mura in Tokyo, the Moscow International Music Hall, Grand Theatre Rubinstein Rimsij-Korsakov in Saint Petersburg, Rossini in Wildbad Festival, Auditorium Toscanini in Turin, among others. Her opera recordings include Rossini's Maometto II and Moïse for Naxos, Gomes' Lo schiavo for Dynamic. In 2022, she released her first chamber music solo album, Lunaria, with pianist Michele D'Elia, for Illiria.
