Almost Anyone is an electronic music project started in December 2011 by Alex Reade. Inspired by the chirpy, upbeat sound of electronic music, Almost Anyone started by exploring up-tempo instrumental dance music, releasing the EP Coexistence in early 2012. Followed by the first Almost Anyone album - the trance-infused Future Suns - that same year. April 2013 saw the release of the album Sealife, representing a shift towards a more traditional EDM sound that would shift again in the 2014 album Digital You to a more fizzy electronic pop-inspired sound that led to songs such as You Can Shine and I Want to See You, followed by the 2015 release of unreleased & B-side material with Clearing The Air (Unreleased 2012-2015). In January 2020, Alex released the 18-track concept album Lost Time, a 3-part album dealing with the concept of moving on and making up for time lost to different aspects and ventures in life. In 2022, Almost Anyone released the album Emotional Breakdown Simulator, a spiritual successor to the 2014 chiptune-inspired release Digital You, doubling down on the retro video game inspiration to create a fusion of electronic pop and chiptune styles. In April 2023, Almost Anyone released Sealife II to celebrate 10 years since the original's release. A project of two halves, first taking a sonic revisit of the 2013 release, followed by a fresh take on the sonic palette established on the original, featuring vocals and more experimental song styles.
