Section is a DJ/Producer from Worthing (UK) who has been DJing since 1997 and has been fortunate to play across the UK, New York City at the Miami Music Conference. Section began making beats in 2006 with his mentor Nathan Solley and began releasing tracks in 2011 and has had several releases across the scene’s biggest labels including; Dread, Skeleton Recordings, Serial Killaz, Audio Addict, Deep In The Jungle and Directors Cut. In 2017 he started his own label, Locked Up Music, which has gained support from all corners of the scene. Section’s journey with Counterpoint began in 2017 when he remixed Bassment’s track Survive. In 2019 Section had his debut solo release with the Portuguese label; Contagion / Design. This release was successful for both the artist and the label so in early 2021 they decided that an LP was the sensible way forwards. The LP was born out of a very challenging time for Section, who works for the NHS as a Physiotherapist, and at the inception of the LP he was redeployed to work on Covid ICU to support hospital staff who were overwhelmed by the Delta variant. Creating the LP acted as a tonic for Section who wanted to create a piece of art that explored both the light and the dark of the daily challenges he faced. The LP took shape over the next 3 months and the final 12 tracks were decided by the summer. The LP is entitled The Fourth Hour is coming out July 1st 2022.
