Victor Akpomon popularly known as Dr Barz is a hiphop/afrobeat artist. Born in Benin city, Nigeria and raised in the riverine city of Port Harcourt, his passion for creating music began at a tender age of thirteen in high school. Dr. Barz’ music is a distinctive fusion of contemporary Hip Hop & African rhythms. With lyrics that are relatable and address different aspects of life, Dr. Barz has developed distinctively, his own style. In 2017 he released his first single - “PH City”. In 2018, he released “This Is Pitakwa” amongst a host of projects, most notable were Gbege & GPH which earned positive reviews, and a guest performance feature at a TED event.
In 2019 he released the hit singles Focus, Lighter & his debut EP “Something Else” - a 6 track project. Afterwards he was featured on the album - The Erigma 2 by Erigga & shortly before his annual solo concert tagged - “Behind Barz”, he released the singles - “Behind Barz” & “20s” subsequently. 
In 2020, he released Corona Plandemic, amidst the COVID crisis, he was involved in a host of features with artistes like Yung6ix, Barzini, DJ Joenel, Ajebo Hustlers, DanDizzy etc. In 2021 he released the singles “Man Must Wack & South Side” shortly before his second EP - “Something Else, Vol.2”; amongst several features with Illbliss, Corizo etc.
Through 2022 to 2023, he has been involved in several collaborations with various artistes like ODUMODUBLVCK, Yung6ix etc. whilst becoming a viral global sensation with sports hiphop.
