Born in Washington D.C., Akinola Pedro launched his career in 2016 as AkinG Kalld Pedro with the release of his debut Mixtape/EP, Afro-Brazil: Viva Sua Paixão. In 2019, he released his demo album, SURREALISM, and later that year, found himself amongst 10 other emerging artists that won the inaugural 2Kbeats Contest created by United Masters. His breakout single, “Traffic.jam {BARGAIN}” was featured on NBA 2K20 Soundtrack and co-signed by Steve Stoute & Kevin Durant. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Pedro released single "Fancy" featured the Love Renaissance (LVRN) R&B act, Alex Vaughn off his 2021 debut album, Children of Immigrants!. The album boasted features from Innanet James, the Beyoncé-collaborator, Lord Afrixana and his single "INTERNACIONAL! (Plan B)” which earned him a placement on NBA 2K21 Next Gen Soundtrack In 2022, Pedro rebranded himself, opting to go with his birth name and released the three song extend play, Tatooine: the world that never was. The EP featured a new sound direction with Pedro which he claims as Progressive Soul. In the summer of 2024 he released crave, the lead single to his upcoming sophomore album. featuring R&B/Soul singer, Ballad.
