The Third Coast’s own Rapper-songwriter Third Coast Hippy has been getting a lot of recognition for his unique delivery and versatile lyrics. Born in Meridian, Ms Hippy has been chasing after his musical aspirations since the age of 14. Greatly influenced by the sound of Texas artist such as UGK and by the lyricism of Atlanta’s Andre 3000, you can hear echoes of the southern pioneers in Third Coast Hippys flow and production. His southern draw and unique wordplay have been praised by critics and fans alike. After the release of his 2018 hit album “Safety Meeting” Hippy went into hiatus in preparation for the birth of his first first Child. Now with 2020 on the verge of a close he is gearing up for the release of his second album “Euphoric Nightmares” which has been pitched for a January 2021 release date. With singles like “Wicced” and and “PTSD” already burning up all streaming services the Third Coast Hippy is looking forward to a even more successful New Year.
