New York City rapper Lil Snvrk has been releasing numerous albums and EPs since 2021, with his 2024 single, "#2CERTIFIED" marking the start of his commercial success. He was signed with Playboi Carti's Opium label until May 2024 and issued the albums Snarkotics, Vol. 3, LONG.LIVE.OPIUM*, insani partum, and ANSNVRKY. Caleb Gottfried, professionally known as Lil Snvrk (pronounced lil-SNARK), always had eyes on him growing up. While still a first-year student in high school, Lil Snvrk realized his clout could be used for financial gain and started posting his music on streaming platforms. In 2021, Kanye West noticed Lil Snvrk, and they became close after collaborating on Donda 2. Kanye West connected him to Playboi Carti, who found his music noteworthy. Playboi Carti signed Lil Snvrk to Opium in March 2023, after he independently dropped several successful albums. On Monday, January 15, 2024, "insani partum," a nine-song album featuring A$AP TyY and BNYX®, along with uncredited features from Ken Carson, Meek Mill and Tyler, The Creator, was released.
