Born Robert Yaw Chiverton from Northern New Jersey, Noturlover grew up in a musical household with his mother being a piano teacher, vocal teacher, guitar teacher, Organist, accompanist & choir director. Music was a path chosen by her for him & there’s proof of this in him having an article in the local paper at three years old for his singing ability. Artists that shaped Noturlover’s childhood and early love for music would be Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, The Notorious B.I.G, Fela Kuti, Michael Jackson, TLC, Kanye West, Chris Brown & Joss Stone. At the age of nine years old Noturlover Decided to team up & begin writing his own songs with a childhood friend. In seventh grade he would release his first ever recorded song on a SoundCloud page under “Bobby C”. He would abandon recording, being discouraged with the songs feedback & begin producing beats & focusing more on sports. Producers that would inspire him during this period were Speaker Knockerz, Johnny Juliano, Lex Luger, No I.D. & illmind. At fifteen years old Noturlover would get inspired to record again & release his first ever mixtape “Being Bobby ain’t Easy”. It would contain all instrumentals of other songs he liked, mimicking Lil Wayne’s no ceilings & sorry for the wait mixtapes & the name was taken from Mac Millers “But my Mackin ain’t easy”. Too his surprise the tape would gain the interest of his friends, classmates and locals sparking his drive to once again take making his own vocal compositions seriously.
