Biography

Born just five months after the independence of Zimbabwe his the third born in a family of four children. He attended Mufakose High School; he then relocated to South Africa to seek better job opportunities. Buffalo Souljah started his when he composed his first song "Zuva Randisingakanganwe" (The Day I Will Never Forget) at the tender age of eight. This song was inspired by a hilarious childhood incident in which he and his late brother were chased by some baboons after having taunted and provoked them. Like many who are so naturally talented, Buffalo Souljah owes his talent, through the blood coursing through his veins. It turns out that his father too was a musician - a jazz artist and saxophonist. who worked with the famous Thomas Mapfumo in the late 70s and early 80s, He left Zimbabwe for South Africa in 1999 and though many a hurdle had to be jumped to enter the music industry, these adversities were no match for the young artist. After working with a number of South African artists and featuring on their albums in 2000, he had the experience of running with Ghanaian artist Kweku aka Instinct in 2002. He was later involved in a group called the Street Disciples and they dropped the album The Chosen Ones under the label (Da Apostles). These days Buffalo is rolling with the big guns and is plying his trade under his independent Label: UNA Music Group and is still in Partnership with his Day I Brother and Owner of Hot Wax Productions Afric 's Number 1 DJ Waxxy.
