Leeks is a UK-based techno and electronic music producer/DJ. Known for his hardgroove techno style, Leeks's sound features skippy beats, deep bass, and atmospheric synths. Initially influenced by hard house and fast-paced dance music, he transitioned to producing minimal techno after it surged in popularity in 2009. Leeks returned with a fresh, dynamic hardgroove style that blends techno with old-school hardgroove sounds. He merges classic and modern hardgroove techno, using some of the best equipment and samplers from the '90s, including a Moog synthesizer, TR-909 drum machine, and Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, to recreate that timeless hardgroove sound. Leeks has worked with labels like Traum and Trapez and has collaborated with numerous major artists. His music has been played by DJs across the globe, solidifying his presence in the international techno scene.
