Born to Verdell Dean Lewis Sr. and Rozena Lewis, Verdell Jr. better known by his stage name YaBoi DaCoach oldest of 5 children 4 boys and 1 girl. YaBoi DaCoach has a very diverse background musically. He was brought up in the church where he developed his love for music looking up to his father Verdell Sr. who was a musician who played the drums and also preached, his aunt Veda Lewis-Simmons a singer and choir director and Ira "Champ" Gilroy musician director and minister of music (who later went on to play and arrange music for The Gap band). YaBoi DaCoach grew up in the midwest (Kansas City,Mo to be exact), he has a love for music that isn't restrained to one genre, though his first love is with R&B and Hip Hop... his music has accumulated over nearly 2 million streams across all streaming platforms.
