Abbie Cardwell’s latest musical offering is an alchemical journey in sound, showcasing her ongoing musical evolution. A past winner of Triple J Unearthed, BMI USA Songwriting, and a notable competitor on 'The Voice,' Abbie has performed with legends like Tony Joe White, Steve Earle, Kasey Chambers, and The Waifs. Her new single “Husha Husha,” from the upcoming album "Love is an Amplifier," exemplifies a transformative change in style. Originally an acoustic lullaby, it evolved into a dreamy, electronic track inspired by a George Carlin joke about the Great American Dream. Producer Matthew Engelbrecht, a multi-instrumentalist and bassist for Bernard Fanning, played a crucial role in shaping the sound. Creating music has been a healing process for Abbie, allowing her to explore without constraints. Her new work blends electronic beats, Americana, soul, and dreamy pop, with her warm vocal tones creating an eclectic soundscape. "Husha Husha" is out now with two more singles preceding the full album drop in October.
