Biography

The Goldborns burst onto the scene in 2018 with their debut ep 'Dont Look Away' - after being discovered by Sex Pistols drummer Paul 'Cookie' Cook in a West London pub. They shortly found themselves in the studio working with Clash legend Mick Jones where their distinctive style and sound was born - a fusion of Dub, Reegae, Rock and Punk that Resonated around their ears growing up in Ladbroke Grove. What followed was a celebrated ep that saw the band achieve breakthrough status with continuous airplay on bbc 6 music, BBC London Radio 1 and resulting in a triumphant homecoming gig at the famous Aklam Hall venue. So what now for the band that were born out of the two biggest punk bands of all time? Two years on The Goldborns Emerge from the rubble of a world pandemic not licking their wounds or bemoaning the lack of gigs... But with their sleeves rolled up ready to fight with the 'Broken Homes' EP - a love letter and tribute to their native Ladbroke Grove, West London - touching on Gentrification, Social Cleansing, The Grenfell Fire tragedy and the real people that make up the pillar of the community.
