Being born close to the home city of Nature One Festival, German producer JANUSH almost naturally spent his early youth behind a mixing desk, fascinated by how music, especially EDM, is crafted. After getting into DJing, together with a friend they landed a first success with one Video on their Youtube Channel which resulted in him working and helping to grow other Youtube Channels, while still producing own tracks under his old Ego MASKAN. After studying Music Production in Cologne, Germany, JANUSH decided to go beyond the boundaries of EDM Music, drawing huge inspiration from artists like KAYTRANADA, Tyler the Creator or Masego – not only sonically but also aesthetically. These influences of Soul, RnB and Hip Hop still can be noted in his work nowadays. In 2021 his sonic but also visual vision for his future as a producer gained shape: Connecting his electronic House and EDM background with this richness and warmth of that vintage, almost soapy sound he was so attracted to. Currently, JANUSH is working in his studio in Cologne and has founded his label OVISION which he plans to develop into an artist collective, not only for music but also visual arts and fashion.
