Biography

It begins in 2002 having as goal the mix between Dub Reggae with electronic music elements taken from Jungle and Drum and Bass which at that time was considered something completely experimental and underground. Through this Bungalo managed to create a very distinctive style which defined itself when Juju, founder of Cartel Records and Drum and Bass Guru of the USA in the early 2000’s, showed them the early days of the English Dubstepper scene. Bungalo Dub, through its Seven Records Studio/Label, has worked with reknown international Dub artists such as Mad Professor, Macka B, Zion Train, Kanka, Six Blocc, Jamalski, Zakeya and Brother Culture amongst others. At that same time Bungalo Dub with Seven Records summoned a great number of American (Continent) artists such as Alika, Lengualerta, Roy Haas, Monk e, Contra, Dada Youth, I Nesta, Aaron, Tianno Bless, Sistah Freedom, Nedman Guerrero and more. Having Scratch “Lee” Perry, David Bowell and Mad Professor as their headliners in their latest record “Steppa” showcase, Bungalo Dub is considered the best Dub Project in Mexico these days and keeps itself very active in America (Continent). The latest recognition the band has been granted is the IMAS music award for best Reggae Dub Album.
