Dancing at the crossroads between psychedelic rock, indie pop, and underground hip hop, Floink creates a universe of his own through his flower-powered chord progressions, soft vocals, and infectious melodies. The multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer creates music as a medium to understand his own experiences and to dive deeper into the meaning of the human condition. He began his journey in music at the age of ten through drums and xylophone lessons. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, the artist performed regularly in various percussion ensembles. He has since become self-taught as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer. Raised in Strasbourg, France, by parents from the United Kingdom, Floink grew up in a multi-cultural environment, attending international schools for students from all over the world. His understanding and vision of life broadened through these experiences. Often when asked 'what does Floink mean' or what 'genre is your music', Floink finds himself with no answer, as he himself is figuring these questions out. The process of creation has enabled the artist to dive into the unknown, as he often starts a project with no expectation of the end result. His writing process can be equated to 'psychographie': the act of putting down whatever pops into your head.
