“I don’t tell stories. But your will find your own stories through my music.” Born and raised in China and currently living in Japan, Catty.L is a soulful and ethereal music composer whose music transcends the boundaries of space. She started her music journey at a very early age, by learning to play the piano and accordion. She began creating her own original music as a teenager, and started sharing her music with the world since 2017. Currently, Catty.L is also writing music for theatre plays and games. Since 2021 she’s writing for some local theatres in Japan, and joined as music team members of audio play series “Oh! Saiyuki” In 2023 her music was used in game “Shanghai LEGEND” and streamed on Nintendo Switch. Worked as a travel writer, Catty.L has been traveling many places. The experience and people that she encountered through the journey became the major inspiration for her music. Making good use of ambient sound and world music elements to capture inspiriting and emotional moments, Catty.L draws out the deeper emotions that are not usually perceived. Through the music, Catty.L invites listeners on a journey of inner exploration and spiritual awakening, in the chaos of the modern world.
